Building the Connections That Move a Nation Forward
From roads and ports to airports, postal services, and meteorological operations, the Ministry of Transport works every day to strengthen the systems that connect our islands, support our economy, and keep The Bahamas moving.

Transportation is more than infrastructure. It is how communities stay connected, businesses grow, essential services reach those who need them, and opportunities travel throughout our archipelago.

By bringing together the Department of Road Traffic, Post Office Department, Port Department, Airport Authority, and Department of Meteorology, the Ministry provides leadership and oversight for the networks that help connect a nation.
The Network That
Connects A Nation
Across The Bahamas, connection matters.
Every journey begins with a road. Every shipment passes through a port. Every flight relies on safe and efficient aviation systems. Every forecast helps communities prepare. Every letter and parcel delivered strengthens the ties between people and islands.
Behind these daily connections is a network of dedicated professionals working to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient movement of people, goods, information, and services throughout our nation.
The Ministry of Transport is proud to lead and support the agencies that keep The Bahamas connected today while building the systems that will move us forward tomorrow.
